Tour Schedule
Day 1: Arrival & First Game Drive
Morning:
- Arrival at Maasai Mara
Arrive at the nearest airstrip (Olkiombo, Mara North, or Keekorok). Upon arrival, transfer to your safari camp or lodge, where you’ll check in and receive a warm welcome.
Lunch:
- Enjoy a hearty lunch at your camp or lodge, and relax after your journey.
Afternoon:
- First Game Drive
After lunch, set out on your first game drive in Maasai Mara. The reserve is home to an abundance of wildlife, including the "Big Five" (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino). You will likely encounter giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and more.
Evening:
- Return to your camp/lodge for dinner and enjoy a relaxing evening with a campfire, stargazing, and possibly a cultural activity like a Maasai dance or storytelling session.
Overnight:
- Stay overnight at your lodge or camp in Maasai Mara.
Day 2: Morning Game Drive & Departure
Early Morning:
- Morning Game Drive
Wake up early for one last game drive to maximize your wildlife sightings. The early morning light and the wildlife emerging from the night will provide great photographic opportunities.
Breakfast:
- Return to the lodge for breakfast after your game drive.
Mid-Morning:
- Relax and Depart
After breakfast, you’ll have some free time to relax or take in the surroundings before your departure. Some camps offer optional activities like a nature walk or hot air balloon ride (extra cost) for those looking for a more immersive experience.
Lunch:
- If your flight departs after lunch, you can enjoy a final meal at the camp before transferring to the airstrip for your return flight.
