Overview
Maasai Mara, also known as Masai Mara, stands as Africa's premier wildlife reserve, situated in the southwest region of Kenya. Renowned for its vast population of lions, the spectacle of the Great Wildebeest Migration, involving over 1 million wildebeest and zebras traversing the annual route from Serengeti to Maasai Mara, captures the essence of this natural wonder. Beyond the wildlife, the Maasai people, recognized for their distinctive customs and attire, contribute to the area's cultural richness. Undoubtedly, Maasai Mara stands among the most celebrated safari destinations globally. The Maasai Mara Ecosystem boasts one of the highest concentrations of lions globally, creating a habitat where more than two million wildebeest, zebras, and Thompson's Gazelle migrate each year.
